Frozen Blackberries
Properly stored, blackberries will maintain best quality for about 10 to 12 months, but will remain safe beyond that time. The freezer time of one year is for best quality - blackberries that have been kept constantly frozen at 0°F will keep safe indefinitely. Frozen fuit retains nearly all the nutritional value of their fresh cousins.
How to Freeze
- Pour your blackberries into a colander, and rinse in water
- Remove any stems, leaves or damaged portions
- Spread the blackberries out on a cookie sheet in a single layer and place in your freezer.
- Once the berries are frozen, transfer them freezer-safe container.
