Banana Chips

Banana Chips

While considered a good source of fiber and potassium, banana chips can be quite high in calories. They are a good "portable" substitute for fresh bananas, but be picky and only acquire banana chips that have simply been dehydrated, as some on the market have been fried. Bad banana!

When you're shopping for banana chips, check the ingredients label to make sure the product is 100 percent bananas, no added sugar, fat or other flavors.

Good Uses:
  • Snack
  • Trail Mix
  • On a salad (in place of croutons)
  • Process them and use them as a crusty coating on a fish
