What you need
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 ground sweet Italian sausage (or filling from one link)
- 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/4 cup onion, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon basil or 1/4 cup fresh chopped
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
- 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- In a mixing bowl, by hand, mix all ingredients until just combined. TIP: I always lightly coat my hands with olive oil. Helps the ingredients to saty in the bowl, where they belong.
- Shape mixture into 12 good sized meatballs, approximately 2" in diameter.
- Bake 25 minutes (we finish ours for another 5-10 minutes in the skillet, with the Sunday sauce.)
