Gegrillte Bratwurst (Grilled Bratwurst)

Düsseldorf mustards are somewhat like Dijon Mustard, but tend to be somewhat more pungent than Dijon, being made with vinegar instead of verjuice*, and darker.
*a sour juice obtained from crab apples, unripe grapes, or other fruit
Ingredients
- 6 Ea bratwursts
- 1 Can of beer
- 1 Chpped Onion
- 4 Ea Cloves of garlic
- 6 Peppercorns
- Dusseldorf style mustard, for serving
Directions
- Place the bratwursts, beer, onion, peppercorns, and cloves of garlic in a 3 quart saucepan. Simmer for 20 minutes. Drain.
- Grill bratwursts 2 to 5 inches from the flame, about 10 minutes, until browned.
- Sprinkle with water to form a crisp skin.
Serve in hard rolls with Dusseldorf style mustard.
