Our Favorite Meatball Recipe

Simply our go to recipe for meatballs and spaghetti. Finishing it in our home-made Sunday sauce. Ready in 30 minutes and tender, filling outstanding.

What you need

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 ground sweet Italian sausage (or filling from one link)
  • 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup onion, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon basil or 1/4 cup fresh chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, by hand, mix all ingredients until just combined. TIP: I always lightly coat my hands with olive oil. Helps the ingredients to saty in the bowl, where they belong.
  3. Shape mixture into 12 good sized meatballs, approximately 2" in diameter.
  4. Bake 25 minutes (we finish ours for another 5-10 minutes in the skillet, with the Sunday sauce.)
